What can you do with MAX? Create a custom security system Use MAX to monitor your doors and windows Connect switches on your doors and windows to the digital inputs on MAX. Then program MAX to notify the host computer when one of these switches change. You now have the perimeter of your house constantly monitored. Set the RS232 port to interrupt the computer and it will instantly know if any door or window is opened! Use any X10 controller as a keypad to control your system When a button is pressed on an X10 controller, it sends an X10 code on your power lines. MAX detects these codes and sends them to your computer. Your computer can determine which buttons have been pressed on the controller and act on this information. You can assign different button sequences to arm and disarm your system. Each person in your house can use a different sequence of buttons, or everybody can use the same one. You can even temporarily assign a sequence to a neighbor while you are on vacation. When you come back, program your computer to ignore these codes. This system is limited only by your imagination!
